The Amarillo Lonestar Lions Club was chartered in 1990 when two  Lions Clubs in Amarillo merged into one.
Those two Clubs, The South Amarillo Club chartered in 1947, and the
Amarillo Southwest Club chartered in 1988, combined to form what we now know to be one of the finest Lions Clubs in Amarillo,

The Amarillo Lonestar Lions Club, with funds raised by its members, is able to provide food,
shoes, and toys at Christmas to needy children right here in Amarillo. The Club also awards college
scholarships on an annual basis. And, we are proud to say that the Amarillo Lonestar Lions Club
is a "100 PERCENT" Club in all Lions Charities.
